On Blackout, as the title suggests, here we have recordings well over 10 years old. Breakdown, alongside Sick Of It All, were the original tough guy band, with straightforward lyrics dealing with hate, revenge and other topics close to their ugly hearts. The band wasn't without humor though, as can be attested to by the band photos in the original ep, or the live in-between song banter of frontman Jeff Perlin. Some of the songs on here such as "Kickback", "Sick People" or "Vengeance" have been covered by bands all over ever since they came out. Some additional material makes this release a full-length.
