Can was founded in 1968 by Irmin Schmidt, Holger Czukay, Michael Karoli and Jaki Liebezeit who formed a group which would utilize and transcend all boundaries of ethnic, electronic experimental and modern classical music. Flow Motion is the eighth Can studio album. It features the UK hit single 'I Want More'. The success of 'I Want More' led to an appearance on Top of the Pops. Flow Motionwas mixed using binaural stereo, a method of recording sound that uses two microphones, arranged with the intent to create a 3-D stereo sound sensation for the listener of actually being in the room.
