Deranged debut for Washington's Criminal Code. On their earlier records the band proudly wore their love of early Husker Du on their sleeves, but they've progressed a bit for this EP. They take the chorus-drenched guitar sound of the Wipers and graft it onto a scrappy yet propulsive, song-oriented take on punk-inflected hardcore.
