Both tracks are currently making waves on the international soul scene and becoming increasingly sought-after. It's no coincidence that 'Choca las caderas' was originally released as a single backed with 'Al ritmo del Bump-Bump,' a clear tribute to the classic 'Soulful Strut,' making the artist's affinity for the soul and funk sounds coming out of the States unmistakable. 'Choca las caderas' is made for dancing and partying hard, with irresistible horn arrangements and an incredibly groovy rhythm section. For the flip, we've chosen 'El tema de Coco,' another superb instrumental recorded by Otto de Rojas, who plays the electric pianos and Moog on this track. Originally released in 1976, it reflects his growing interest in disco while retaining the masterful jazzy arrangements that define his recordings. These two tracks are now reissued together on a 45 for the first time.
