Dead7
Love What You Can While You Got Something Left
dead7 shape sound and feeling into an atmosphere where anything could happen at any moment. Musically, the St. Louis, MO
quintet temper thick guitar-driven grooves with entrancing electronics, ethereal keys, and evocative vocals.
Simultaneously, death and romance become interchangeable, rotating around an axis of relatable emotional turbulence.
After amassing millions of streams and building buzz independently, the band's immersive vision underscores their
full-length debut LP, LOVE WHAT YOU CAN WHILE YOU GOT SOMETHING LEFT TO LOVE. Armed with this boundary-breaking style,
dead7 initially rose up out of St. Louis during 2022. Along the way, they packed headline gigs and graced the bills of
festivals such as POINTFEST with INCUBUS, BAD OMENS, COHEED AND CAMBRIA, THE PRETTY RECKLESS, and more. Hitting the
studio, the band reteamed with frequent collaborators and producers Caleb Freihaut and Ben McGuiness to record what
would become LOVE WHAT YOU CAN WHILE YOU GOT SOMETHING LEFT TO LOVE. A synth groan murmurs beneath bouncy vocals on the
opener and first single "BLUR." Awash in vocoder, a hypnotic harmony cruises through skittering cymbals. Keys moan, bass
bumps, and guitar crunches on the lusty "PLEASE" punctuated by lines like, "I love the way that you bite back, you know
that I'd never fight back." It climaxes with a call-and-response between Jason and Marcus. The trip concludes with the
disarmingly dreamy "DOPESICK." Clean guitar transmissions and claps accent a confession, "Baby, I've been dopesick for
so long that I've lost the strength to fight it off." In the end, dead7 comes to life with an unparalleled vision.
