Death Hymn Number 9 aren't the first band to perform in ghoul make up complete with fake blood (90's punk metal band Ink and Dagger come to mind) but no band does so with such compete abandon and glee. These guys create their own blend of punk rock that is a hybrid of rockabilly, garage, surf, 1940's boogie and "primitive jazz"- all with a splatter of the Munsters (and blood, of course). They are a must see live. It is clear that they love what they do and this translates into a memorizing performance. A sort of righteous mayhem.... -american pancake Purple cassette.
