Continuing Tompkins Square reissue series of rare private press LP's featured on Imaginational Anthem Vol. 8: The Private Press, Gentle Wilderness was originally released in 1978 in a limited edition of 500. Rick Deitrick sold the LPs to various local shops and left a few albums in the middle of the wilderness next to trails "so people would find them." Now Tompkins Square makes them a bit easier to acquire.
