Frigidaire Tango
The Cock (w/cd)
Founded in July of 1977 with the original name of Outkids and surely influenced by British Punk, the band reached their
peak at the beginning of the eighties; after they changed their name to Trash, their final 'nick' would be Frigidaire
Tango.
The Cock was released in 1982 on Young Records. At that point their earlier primitive punk influence had merged with
different influences, namely krautrock and glam, as well as a hint of prog rock, which resulted in a brand new sound,
very personal and sought-after even in the new wave era. In September 2010, The Cock was listed by the french magazine
Tsugi as one of the most underrated 100 records in the history of contemporary rock.
This re-issue on vinyl - aptly remastered from the original tapes - also includes a CD version with the original album
and 11 bonus tracks from the 1980 demo tape.
