Glass Family Electric Band, The
Invisible World
After 50+ years, the Glass Family completes the follow up album to their 1968 Warner Bros. Release, the self titled
GLASS FAMILY ELECTRIC BAND.
In the 60's, while on tour the band played with the Grateful Dead, The Doors, Big Brother & the Holding Company (Janis
Joplin), Deep Purple, Love and many other bands of the time. The Rolling Stones famously borrowed the band's P.A. system
when they first arrived in the states to rehearse.
Over the years the opening song on the first LP, "House of Glass" has become a Psychedlic classic, appearing on numerous
compilations (Hallucinations, Super Groups, Rhino's Nuggets, & many more).
In the 70's - inspired by their relationship with George Clinton's FUNKADELIC - the band scored 2 Billboard R&B Disco
hits with "Smoke Your Troubles Away" and "Mr. DJ."
Now, after numerous European reissues of the original album, and three reissued VINYL pressings here in the states, the
band returns with "INVISIBLE WORLD" and its lead off anthem "RECORD STORE".
The reviews thus far (Positive) are saying: ".sounds like the Doors," "..sounds like Crosby, Stills & Nash," ..sounds
like It's A Beautiful Day." In other words, it SOUNDS LIKE THE 60's.
