Grapevine creates beautiful sonic harmonies that are reminiscent of ethereal pop vocals from the likes of Beach House backed by classic alt-rock instrumentation along the lines of the Pixies and Dinosaur Jr. Now, on their third record, Slow West, Grapevine is finding a maturity in their writing that comes through wonderfully in the recordings. Self-produced with the assistance of Graham Ginsberg, these artists have successfully captured the sonic and lyrical translation of the beauty that comes from confronting the past with an optimistic eye towards the future.
