Though Fear In Bliss was conceived at Horse Thief's Oklahoma headquarters, the band decided to record the album in LA, "to leave our comfort zone of Oklahoma", and producer Thom Monahan (Devendra Banhart, Vetiver) has helped the band fuse their renowned stage performance with studio quality. Their upcoming album, Trials and Truths, also helmed by Monahan, is a reflection of their recent 18 months of touring, and figuring out how to make things work even when there are hard times. The touring seems to have formed a brotherhood with the band, and you can definitely see that collectivity and resilience on the stunning Trials and Truths.
