Dark Flower

Johanna's House Of Glamor

Dark Flower
It's been a long wait for new music from Johanna's House of Glamour, but their new CD, "The Dark Flower" does not disappoint. The disc is every bit as good as 1995's "Style Monsters" and is something that any fan of dark, atmospheric pop music will want to check out. Having experienced record company-related set-backs, Johanna's House of Glamour decided to start their own label, rbm records, to release the disc. Third long player from Johanna's House of Glamour, following up 'Style Monsters' from 1993. Tracking finished up in 1997, album was originally slated for release on Gerald Helm's Instinct Records, but the re-mix efforts fizzled out. Here are the original tracks which have been re-mixed and mastered for this rbm Records release. This is JH Glamour at its finest. from the Pere Ubu inspired 'Mustard Fields', and the warped jazzy feel (think Bark Psychosis) of Head to Hand. LP ends with the haunting Violet Fire, a song about the unstoppable energy of a new life.
