Latest 12" from this Australian d-beat sensation, picking up pretty much where their previous 7" on Holy Terror Records left off. On the one hand, Kromosom are really a definitive noisy crust band with huge guitars, wild tempos and fist-pumping riffs, but they're constantly filling their songs with interesting little touches from other punk subgenres, like a catchy OI! part here or a cool Dead Kennedys-esque lead guitar part there. They really are expanding the crust template in an interesting yet unpretentious way, all the while without losing any of the aspects of the band that mark them as a noisy crust band in the first place. A real ripper of an album... strongly recommended.
