Originally created for an Oona Doherty dance show 'Specky Clark' earlier this year, the single is a devastatingly powerful and otherworldly interpretation of The Specials' 1981 hit 'Ghost Town'. A protest song originally released during a period of discontent & economic hardship. Its bitter commentary is as relevant today as it was then. In the hands of Lankum, the shape is warped and twisted, taking on an otherworldly quality, where dreams are shattered, haunted by ghostly whispers and a chattering baseline. 'Ghost Town' will be released on 12" vinyl format in Jan 2026 featuring an elaborate etching on the b-side.
