Oakland's Lycus are the quintessential funeral doom band. A gorgeous sonic crawl, glacial and downtuned, the sort of sludgey-ultra doom bliss that should hit the spot for fans of disembowelment. There's even some groove, a little Black Sabbath swing, but mostly the band are creeping and lumbering about with a surprising amount of complexity.
