Entre El Cielo Y El Suelo
Between the sky and the ground is the title of the fourth studio album by the Spanish techno-pop group Mecano, published on June 17, 1986. This work, the first with their new record label BMG after their break with CBS, marked a before and after in the group's trajectory, beginning with it a stage of creative, conceptual and technical maturity that would mark its leap to international success. The album vindicated the figure of José María Cano as composer over his brother Nacho, since previously almost all of the group's songs that had been published as singles had been written by the latter. The album takes its name from the first verse of one of the songs that appeared on it, It costs me so much to forget you. This album sold more than 1,000,000 copies in Spain alone. With this, it was the first album that surpassed one million albums sold. Entre el cielo y el tierra was arranged and produced by the group itself and was recorded at the Audiofilm studios (Madrid), Lillie Yard (London), Hot Nights and Lansdown.
