Houses of the Horny is a gem. Houses was the last Mentors album to feature the stellar supertalent, El Duce. Produced by Steve Broy (aka Dr. Heathen Scum, Mentors' bassist) in 1994, this album was professionally recorded and released only on cassette and sold only at shows and through the Mentors' fan club mail order. Out of print since the mid-'90's, Houses of the Horny has achieved legendary status. Broy has retained all of the original Digital Audio Tape (DAT). The mixes were remastered by Shawn Franklin, Mentors' recording engineer. Len and Jacob Horowitz of History of Recorded Sound mastered Franklin's version down to acetate for vinyl. For this vinyl release, Stool Sample Records used the Horowitz acetate to produce 500 copies on translucent purple vinyl. The package includes liner notes for each song, narrated by Steve Broy. As always, Mentors relaeases contain X-Rated lyrical content and should be kept away from children. Key Selling Points: Houses of the Horny has only been offered on cassette up to now.
