Minutemen
Sickles & Hammers: Lost 1981 Mabuhay Broadcast
'THE LOST 1981 MABUHAY BROADCAST' - Comprised of D. Boon, Mike Watt and drummer George Hurley, all natives of working
class seaport San Pedro, The Minutemen are one of the more idiosyncratic bands of the second wave of Southern California
punk rock. They emerged in the age of Reagan, and epitomized the youthful disenchantment of that era with a unique sense
of humor and biting lyrical content. They found their voice on their first full-length album, 1981's 'The Punch Line' on
the legendary label SST, and on that tour they absolutely destroyed San Francisco's classic punk venue, Mabuhay Gardens
on the Broadway Strip Club strip. Suicidal Records presents the entire KUSF-FM broadcast of the Minutemen live from SF
on 26th October 1981.
