Danish psychobilly trio Nekromantix formed in Copenhagen in 1989, melding heavy metal and some Goth underpinnings in
their style. After a well-received debut via Tombstone, the band reached greater heights with Curse Of The Coffin for
Nervous Records, perceptively produced by Micky Mutant of Meteors fame. With frontman Kim Gaarde playing a coffin-shaped
bass, Pete Sandorff shredding speed-metal riffs on his guitar and drummer Peek never letting the pace drop below
feverish, Curse Of The Coffin is a wild ride that redefined the psychobilly genre, making Nekromantix leading lights of
the second wave. A true killer!
