It's amazing that even after 30 years, this album is still highly listenable today! It was the right sound at the right time and some of the best in it's class. Producer Maurice Starr did a fantastic job crafting the original 10 songs found on this album from the excellent dance hit "The Right Stuff" to the eternally beautiful #1 ballad "I'll Be Loving You Forever". There isn't a bad track on here! Jordan Knight and Joe McIntyre really belt out some extraordinarily amazing vocals. There are also some rare remixes found on this album reissue, including an excellent dance remix of "The Right Stuff" and a smooth, more urban sounding remix of "I'll Be Loving You Forever". Also, the fun, more thoroughly produced "single version" of "Hangin' Tough" is found on here. And last but not least are the 3 brand new tracks that have been added to this album, and once again, the NKOTB show that they still got it! The fun and catchy "Boys In The Band" is a clever, well written piece of pop perfection that deserves a spot in the top 10 with great vocals and a great fun retrospective rap by Donnie Wahlberg. And "80's Baby" featuring cameos from Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, Salt N Pepa, and Naughty By Nature is an 80's/90's inspired tune that blends the NKOTB style with that of the other featured artists. The final track "The Way" isn't as good as Joe McIntyre's "The Way" but is still a good listen nonetheless. Overall, you can't go wrong with the reissue of an album that truly deserves a 30 year anniversary release. I look forward to more new music from the NKOTB and hope they finally get New Edition to join them as co-headliners in their next concert tour. That would be musical magic all the way!
