The fourth album by the US hotrod rockabilly band SKINNY JIM & THE NUMBER 9 BLACKTOPS, called "Cool on my Right", will appear on PART. The trio's sound, often referred to as "hot-rod rockabilly and motorcycle rock'n'roll", seems to regard this album as a welcome occasion for the next long, wild and worldwide tour. The boys in the band, along with singer and guitarist "SKINNY" Jim Rotramel, are passionate in their battered van on the road...but the class of their latest work shows again a band that can display their charms in the studio at least as accurately as on the stage. 11 songs, including 10 original compositions in the style of bands like distorted-Gretsch-REVEREND HORTON HEAT, THE SUPERSUCKERS, or the godfathers STRAY CATS, pulse a dry-drying, knarziger and unchecked wild sound.
