The Substance
Waxwork Records is thrilled to release THE SUBSTANCE Original Motion Picture Score by Raffertie. The SUbstance is a 2024
body horror film written and directed by Coralie Fargeat. The film stars Demi Moore, Margaret Qualley, and Dennis Quaid.
Its plot follows a fading celebrity who decides to use a black market drug, a cell-replicating substance that
temporarily creates a younger, better version of her self, unknowingly giving her horrifying side effects.
The Substance was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival where it received a 13 minute
standing ovation. Benjamin Stefanski, best known for his recording alias Raffertie, is a British composer and producer.
A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, he studied Classica & Contemporary Music Composition at Royal Birmingham
Conservatoire. His electronic dexterity and classic songwriting sensibility have seen him become known and sought out
for the enigmatic, emotive sound he has developed throughout his work as a composer scoring for film and television.
Pressed on "Activator Green" colored vinyl and housed in a printed inner sleeve and heavyweight jacket wrapped in a
custom printed kraft paper O Card.
