In 1972 Lee Scratch Perry publicly declared his ambition to build a studio where the Sufferers could record, and by late 1973 The Black Ark was open for business. We have collected an excellent set of 24 tracks that focus on the roots side of Lee Perry's productions in the early Black Ark years. Nearly all the tracks come from very rare singles and the occasional dub plate.
