Primevals, The
Dislocation
In July 2017 The Primevals released on their own label "Dislocation" on lp/cd and continued with shows in the UK,
France, and Italy. Recording tracks for various compilation releases dedicated to Captain Beefheart, Suicide and The
Byrds, a John Peel session released as a limited 12", the band has soldiered on. With long-time involvement in both the
Jeffrey Lee Pierce Project (of Gun Club infamy, another past touring partner) and homeless charity projects in their
hometown. The Primevals have rarely let the grass grow under their feet. Their live reputation remains as an energetic,
intense and slightly unhinged presence and one never knows what to expect from a Primevals show. This is a band that has
the voodoo, have no doubts.
