Texas-born Carpenter has toured as violinist with THE EELS, SPIRITUALIZED, LOVE with ARTHUR LEE, and BODIES OF WATER, and was a violinist/vocalist for Los Angeles folk rockers LISTING SHIP. The eight songs on the album navigate an evocative soundscape ranging in mood from a Velvet Underground-inspired Americana jubilee to an anarchic musicbox on a sunken ship.
