Pyramids
Birth/speed/merging (180)
Birth/Speed/Merging (1976) represents the San Francisco Bay Area era of the Black free jazz band. Relocating from Ohio
in 1974, The Pyramids quickly met other musicians in the thriving Bay Area music scene. The Pyramids now had two bass
player, (one electric, one acoustic). The track "Jamaican Carnival" pays homage to the beautiful carribean island of Of
Jamaica. The band utlized their brillant percussionist, Kenneth Nash to play on the track. A very exciting, living and
breathing free jazz record. Remastered and reissued here on 180 gram vinyl.
