Live On Stage (rsd)
DELUXE VINYL EDITION RECORD STORE DAY RELEASE! LIMITED EDITION of 1000 on BLACK/RED VINYL!
The Ruts were a reggae-influenced British punk rock band, notable for the 1979 Top 10 hit Babylons Burning, and an
earlier single In a Rut, which was not a hit but was much played and highly regarded by the UK BBC Radio 1 disc jockey,
John Peel. The Ruts were formed on 18 August 1977. The band consisted of singer Malcolm Owen, guitarist Paul Fox, bass
player John Segs Jennings and drummer Dave Ruffy and were active in anti-racist causes as part of the Misty in Roots
People Unite collective based in Southall, West London and playing several benefits for Rock Against Racism. This superb
Ruts DC live album was recorded in Europe during 2013-14 and features Segs, Dave Ruffy, guitarist Leigh Heggarty and
vocalist Molara performing 15 classic tracks.
