The phenomenal SILVERHEAD was a British glam rock band that formed in early 1972, fronted by the singer/actor Michael
Des Barres. The other members of the band included Robbie Blunt (guitar), Rod Rook Davies (guitar, percussion, vocals),
Nigel Harrison (bass guitar), and Pete Thompson (drums, percussion, keyboards, vocals). They were signed by Purple
Records and recorded two studio albums, Silverhead (1972) and 16 and Savaged (1973). Purple Records, for those who don't
know, was owned by Deep Purple.

In addition to headlining, SILVERHEAD also provided support to bands such as Nazareth and Osibisa and were the lead band
in the Dagenham Roundhouse Shows a/k/a "Village Blues Club" in London, England. Work on a third studio album (working
title 'Brutiful') started in 1974, but the group disbanded in July 1974 slightly before completion. SILVERHEAD is widely
regarded as one of the top influences in glam rock history.
In April 2012, SILVERHEAD played a reunion dates in Japan, where today they are still highly regarded.
This 12 inch first edition collectors vinyl is the jewel in any Silverhead fans collection. It features a live recording
of the band, selected and approved by rock icons and Silverhead members MDB and Nigel Harrison, on side A. Whats truly
unique is the B side which is a personal conversation between Pamela Des Barres and frontman Michael Des Barres and the
early days of Silverhead as well as their lifelong love and friendship. The album also sports vintage photos from MDB
own personal collection.
