When the band started, their aim was to emulate the tired clichés of bands like Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys, but
as time went on they worked hard on sculpting and perfecting their own signature sound. The new album, 'Back To The
Drawing Room' is of course still recognisable as Smokey Bastard but with their own unique take on Folk-Punk
incorporating such a wide and varied range of international folk music styles. With a more progressive approach to
rhythm and song writing than any of their peers Smokey Bastard are pushing the limits of what you thought Folk-Punk
could be.
