They make music in celebration of pagan idols, which used to reign these Scandinavian regions thousands of years ago, but now are slumbering in the dark, hiding under the protective wings of the prince of darkness. On fixed dates Swartalf gather at night to perform their heathen rites. This release contains original recordings made during those masses. These pure evil sounds were orchestrated by like-minded classical musicians and the result is a monstrous epic and grotesk masterpiece.
