Marble Son is their heaviest album to date, perhaps from their recent collaborations with Sunn O))). On this record Phil Wandscher has become less of a sideman and more of a bandleader, he's a resourceful guitar player who allows these tunes to careen and serve perilously. Eyvand Kang guests on Viola on two tracks. The album was produced by Jesse Sykes, Phil Wandscher (Previously played guitar in Whiskeytown), and Mell Dettmer at Avast and Aleph studios in Seattle.
