The Unrelated Segments were a short-lived outfit, founded in 1966 and abandoned in 1969, and they released just three great singles before breaking up (though one of their best tunes, "Story of My Life," appeared on the definitive '60s garage rock anthology, the box set edition of Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era 1965-1968). The Story of My Life: Complete Recordings! features the six songs the Unrelated Segments released in their lifetime, as well as demos, alternate takes, and rehearsal recordings to create the definitive portrait of one of the great overlooked bands of the '60s garage rock movement.
