Staple Singers, Rufus Thomas - with the unreleased monster "Doin' The Side Saddle" - and Albert King, this album is
about the rare and the funky. These are mainly hard-to-find 45 tracks that cross the range from hard heavy funk to
female shouters to proto-disco. Some of these have been sampled, including Stu Gardner's "Devil In A Man" (by DJ
Shadow), but most are just great funk. Features Calvin Scott, Bar Kays, Jimmy McCracklin, Inez Foxx, Wrecking Crew,
