Los Angeles based recording artist Jon Wahl of Claw Hammer has been recording since the 1980s, with releases on both independent and major labels. Wahl returns with The Angst Blues of Jon Wahl and the Amadans, his debut release for Elastic Records. Five guitar-driven rock tracks with original stylized vocals and lonely love themes. Includes the wailing sounds of track "Pink Moon" an interpretation of Nick Drake's legendary song, and concludes with the ten minute epic "When She Smiles". These songs are gritty and catchy with dark themed lyrics destined to be instant post punk classics. Power trio line-up features charismatic front man Jon Wahl on guitar and vocals, with Bob Lee also of Claw Hammer on drums, and William Tutton, formerly of The Geraldine Fibbers on bass.
