What If Nothing
Indie-pop band Walk The Moon's latest record, What If Nothing?, reaches further into the dance pop cosmos, often leaving
behind traces of past guitar hookery and fully embracing an electronic soundscape, like on lead single "One Foot," a
romantically inspirational anthem filled with catchy vocal hooks and synth lines that seem to shoot through the
stratosphere. "Press Restart" is a collage of delicate indie rock melodies and changing electro-dance beats while "Can't
Sleep (Wolves)" hearkens back to their Police-inspired dance-rock roots, with its tight, watery guitar riffs and funky
bass lines. The nostalgically melancholy "Tiger Teeth" finds a healthy balance between the new and old sounds with its
restrained keyboard riffs leading an otherwise mid-tempo rock groove.
