While on a break from touring this year, James Williamson decided to record some early songs, which were penned by Iggy Pop and James Williamson in 1970-74. These songs were never properly recorded since the band didn't have a record deal at the time, or had rejected the demos for use on Raw Power. Some members of The Stooges touring band, James Williamson, Mike Watt and drummer Toby Dammit are joined on "I Got A Right" and "Heavy Liquid" by the Bellrays' R&B singer Lisa Kekaula, who adds her own forceful and soul-drenching takes on these two freshly recorded gems.
