Zolar X
A sound like no other and a story as out there as the Monks, Zolar X were considered a punk/glam band from LA in the 70's.. The band were in character on and off stage in silver spacesuits, spock ears, even antennae feelers. Zolar X even spoke their own language and insisted they WERE from outer space. The LP comes on black vinyl (1st pressing was clear) with a space-age metallic silver cover, full color insert sleeve with original 70's band photos. Fans of the band included Kim Fowley and Ace Frehley (Kiss). Brimming with energy, these 12 tracks were culled from three different recording sessions, Memphis in 1976, Los Angeles in 1979, and San Francisco in 1980. Freaky pre-punk that began in 1974, with Ziggy Stardust-style glam, much like Freddie Mercury (falsetto voices) on opiates. Truly original. Check out the insanely good stand out track, Jet Star 19. "At their best, the missing link between Chrome and The Stooges" (Jello Biafra).
