Alaska y los Pegamoides was a Spanish musical group formed in 1979, in Madrid. It was one of the leading representatives
of the punk rock scene in Spain during the early 1980s, along with other groups, such as its predecessor Kaka de Luxe or
its parallel group Parálisis Permanente.
In the beginning the band drew inspiration from various sources, particularly punk rock and 1960s pop, before the band's
discovery of Siouxsie and the Banshees and other emerging post-punk groups in the United Kingdom led them to change
their sound towards that style.
