At their brightest, they have been likened to The Descendents, but at their sludgiest, they call to mind bands like Pissed Jeans and The Jesus Lizard. Big Ups released their debut 11-track LP, Eighteen Hours of Static in the beginning of 2014 and have since toured restlessly in the United States and Europe - playing lots of shows with METZ, Speedy Ortiz, Perfect Pussy, Pile and never really getting a good night's sleep. The band make their triumphant return with Before A Million Universes, an album that brings Big Ups aggression to new heights and lows, an album that flips the script on any expectations you may have had.
