Aaron Maine had released eight records in the past six years under various names before releasing Slow Dance in the
Cosmos by Porches. Aaron and members Cameron Wisch, Greta Kline, Kevin Farrant, Seiya Jewell have become a regular
fixture in New York venues and also frequent Philly, New Paltz, Bard, Ithaca, and Boston. The album has been referred to
as pornogospel, loner pop, bootyclapping, sad spread, and compared to the Arthur Russell, Neil Young, Chopin, and Kurt
Vile.
