This conceptual pre-debut showcases the band's earliest recordings, as well as sessions highlighting their tireless studio work ethic which earned them record deals with Mercury and Playboy. Between 1970 and 1979, the Youngstown, OH band recorded piles of tapes at Peppermint Productions. Of the 16 tracks on this album, 14 have never been heard before; spanning from their post-Beatles-breakup formation, to pointing towards bassist and songwriter Frank Secich's later work with Stiv Bators. Is it power pop? Is it proto punk? Whatever you label it, Blue Ash's music served as a road map for how rock 'n' roll evolved throughout the 70's in America.
