Zona Temporalmente Autonoma
"Islamabad" is a contender for song of the year, and if you can read Spanish, it's worth just reading the lyrics. It seems a searing indictment of authoritarian regimes in Muslim countries as well as a mournful explanation of why the opposition might become radicalized: because the oppressed need to believe in something other, something capable of avenging them, and "Dios sabrá vengarnos, Dios es grande siempre" is more compelling and native than liberal democracy. Today the song applies most neatly to the Syrian Civil War, though my interpretation would fit better if the song were called "Damascus." Much of the song's power comes from its gradual build, with the music getting more and more aching as it crescendoes.
