Veneno En La Piel (green Vinyl)
Veneno en la piel is the fifth studio album by the Spanish group Radio Futura. It was released by BMG/Ariola in 1990.1 At the time of the album's recording, Radio Futura was composed of the brothers Santiago (vocals, guitar) and Luis (bass) Auserón, along with Enrique Sierra and Ollie Halsall (electric guitars) and Antonio Moreno Tacita on percussion. Veneno en la piel is the last album with entirely new material in the group's discography. Soon the first single from the album, "Veneno en la piel" reaches number one on the sales charts. The album itself also achieves this, being the first and only one to do so in their entire discography. The album, in the artistic section, is not up to the level of previous works. It tries in a way to recover the sounds of "Semilla negra", but transmits a certain feeling of disorientation. The main problem, in any case, is that the songs do not do justice to the musical career of the group and sometimes show "commercial" features quite far from their development up to that point. However, the commercial section is successful, and songs such as "Veneno en la piel" or "Corazón de tiza" are played continuously that summer. From the album are extracted as singles "Condena del amor" with "Imagen pública" as B-side, "Corazón de tiza", which is accompanied as B-side "La ronda del colgantes", a song that does not appear on the album11 (and which would also have a version accompanied by "Radar", and whose cover illustration is done again by Max), "El amigo desconocida" with "Si me dejas solo" as B-side, in addition to the song that gives the album its title.
