Quite simply the Electric Eels are, historically one of the most important bands ever!! Their career may have lasted barely two years, they may have only played live half a dozen times, they may have had no records released during their chaotic existence, but the legacy they left provided considerable inspiration for many a tortured twisted soul. Notable fans include Gibby Haines, Jon Spencer, Thurston Moore and Michael Gira. They were formed in Cleveland, OHIO in 1972. Feat. Nick Knox (Cramps) & John and Dave joined the Styrene Money band with soon to be Pere Ubu and Dead Boys members and also played in the superb X-X. This CD contains 22 tracks including at least three beasts unleashed for the first time.
